SSD Filling Up

So awhile back I bought an SSD to boot off of.

I run nothing on it other than windows. My downloads, desktop, programs all go to different hard drives. Over the past year and a half its been slowing filling up. I have somehow added 40 gb since I installed it. Any idea how I can clean it up?

I had a similar problem. Search Indexer uses up a looooottttt of space. Also, get CCleaner and it'll clean it out. Ccleaner got rid of several gb of space for me.

In all likelihood, it's a year-and-a-half's worth of updates. Windows (Vista/7/8.whatever) don't have small updates, and given a decent amount of time, will take up a lot of space. There's also the accumulation of temporary files, which too add up.

I would download, and run CCleaner to clear up these temporary/abandoned files, and see if that doesn't free up a little more space.

Tells you EXACTLY where everything is and how much space it's taking up

I don't remember off the top of my head. I'm sure a quick google search would turn something up.

Something else, change your appdata directory to your other drive. that will get rid of a few gb, depending on how much you have in there. Again, it's been awhile since I had to do it so I don't remember how i did it. But having a 32gb SSD myself,it helped.
