In Marksman update they changed the stance keys from just binding a modifier key to separating out each direction. In Legacy you just have the modifier key + WASD.

You need to bind the key that allows you to switch weapons on the move. User Action 17 is the switch to handgun button, user action 18 is switch launcher.
Then my only suggestion is to enable mods one by one and see when you lose performance.

I'd get the 970 and overclock the i5 to 4 GHz.

Yes Arma is CPU intensive, but it has such poor multi-core support that it's performance is mostly determined by single core speed. Overclocking your i5 to 4.0 GHz will net you similar performance gains to getting the i7.

Its AGM. They moved planting explosives to the AGM interaction menu.
You always want to be careful running any mods while playing campaign. They can cause conflicts that prevent progress.
